The
ELiMS® Multi-purpose Station is
a self-service station. It can be used as a borrowing station,
item return and/or sorting station. Ideal for small private
libraries with low patronage and small collections of library
materials.
Station
can be configured to read any type of identity card, which
can be magnetic, smart card or bar code based.
A
item is placed on an identified area in front of the station
and once the item identity is read & verified by the library
backend software, a message will be displayed to inform the
patron.
Cancellation
of loan record is made even easier. When the item to be returned
is placed onto the zone, it will display a message informing
that the loan is cancelled and subsequently also display the
call number of the item for sorting purposes.
